Kicking & Screaming

I don't think that Noah Baumbach had grown into his voice when he made this movie, but for me, that only makes it work better. The film is occasionally pretentious and self-indulgent, but those qualities work well for this material obsessing about post-adolescents who are obsessing over who they are and who they might become.
